Special congratulations to Jack O’Flynn and Sam Buckley who top the U13’s & U17’s European rankings for the 1st time and  Denis Gilevskiy (Under 15) who retains his number 1 position in the ESF rankings. This follows great performances and wins in the Belgian Junior Open last month and The Anytime Fitness Irish Junior Open last weekend! Well done boys!!! Three Irish number 1’s out of the 4 boys age grades! A super achievement!
 
 We have three more juniors in the top 5 of European Junior Ranking:
 
Hannah Craig 5th (GU19)
Conor Moran 2nd (BU17)
Alex Smith 3rd (BU15)
                                                            
There are three more Irish junior players in the ESF top-10; Scott Gillanders 7th (BU19),  and Sean Murphy 6th (BU13), Elliot Kelly 10th (BU13)
Elliot Kelly has reached the top-10 in European rankings  for the first time after strong performances at the Anytime Fitness Irish Junior Open & Belgian Junior Open.
 
Congratulations to everybody who took a part in Belgium Junior Open and the Anytime Fitness Irish Junior Open, which took place last weekend and was a great success, at the superb new facilities of Sutton Squash club.

Anytime Fitness Irish Junior Open took place at Sutton LTC. The biggest Junior event on the Irish Squash calendar which seen a huge entry, some great duels and super squash all weekend. Results below.

Congratulations to everybody who took a part in Belgium Junior Open (Super Series event) in Herentals last weekend. With 20 juniors travelling, they won 5 medals; 2 golds and 3 silvers.

Denis Gilevskiy U15 Champion & Sam Buckley U17 Champion

Well done to the 20 Irish Squash players who competed in this year’s Belgian Junior Open. A very successful tournament for all our Irish players with 5 players making the finals including an all Irish, boys U15 final. Denis Gilevskiy won the U15 final beating fellow Irish junior Alex Smith  11-8, 11-1, 11-6  and Sam Buckley winning the U17 final beating Ivan Saavedra 11-7, 11-7, 1-11, 14-12

Ellie McVeigh won silver in the U17’s losing to Madeleine Hylland 11-9, 8-11, 3-11, 9-11. Jack O’Flynn also took home a silver medal in the U13 losing to Caleb Boy 11-4, 11-4, 11-2 and Alex Smith took silver in the U15. Congratulations to all the Irish players who played over the weekend.
