Quarter final day in the Dunlop BJO with Ireland’s Denis Gilevskiy playing Malyasian, Muhammad Amir Amirul Azhar. Denis started a bit
slowly whereas Azar settled into the match quickly. 1st game went to Azhar 11-4. The second game followed the same pattern with Denis then playing some lovely shots to bring it back to 5-8 and then 7-8. Azhar pushed again putting pressure on Denis to win it 11-7. Denis started the 3rd strongly and went 4-2 up after playing a super drop to the left. Azhar then came back into it well to push onto 8-5 and then closed out the match 11-5. Denis played well, however his opponent just had a bit too much on this occasion.
Alex Smith had a super 3-0 win over Dean Venter of South Africa in the U15’s play offs.
